Nurturing Curious, Future-Ready Lasallians
The Science Department believes that the goal of Science education is to ignite the natural curiosity of every Lasallian through inquiry-based learning, cultivating self-directed, lifelong learners who are prepared for the future world. Through our programmes, every Lasallian grows as a confident person, an active contributor, and a concerned citizen.
At the heart of our Science programme is a commitment to joyful, meaningful learning. Lasallians from Primary 1 to Primary 6 learn through our inquiry-based pedagogy, where they ask questions, investigate phenomena, and make sense of the world around them. Hands-on programmes at every level bring Science to life — from Boat Making and Magnet Toy explorations at P3, to designing Water Purification Models at P5, to imagining entirely new life forms at P6. A variety of learning experiences are designed across the levels to provide opportunities for authentic learning of Science. EdTech tools including AI-supported lessons and Virtual Reality further enrich the learning experience.
Beyond the classroom, our Ecostewardship Programme weaves environmental awareness and civic responsibility into every level of the curriculum. Lasallians do not just learn about sustainability — they live it, through experiences such as tote bag making, shadow puppet theatre, and learning journeys to Bird Paradise and Lee Kong Chian Nature History Museum. Partnerships with external organisations give students authentic platforms to advocate for the environment and serve their communities — embodying the Lasallian values of Faith, Service, and Community.
