Overview of CCA

At De La Salle School, our Netball CCA aims to develop resilient, committed and disciplined players who consistently strive to give their best.

Netball is a dynamic sport that develops agility, speed, endurance and teamwork. Beyond building the physical attributes required for the game, our CCA instills the school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience, shaping our players into confident and responsible individuals both on and off the court.

Through a range of curated modified games and engaging training activities, our players develop fundamental skills such as ball handling, throwing, catching and essential locomotor movements. As they progress, they are introduced to the tactical and strategic aspects of the game, including effective positioning, game awareness and working cohesively as a team. These are taught in a supportive and positive environment that fosters a love for Netball while building confidence, teamwork and sportsmanship.

What Students Will Experience

Students will

  1. Learn and apply fundamental netball skills progressively through age-appropriate training and game-based activities.

  2. Develop teamwork and a sense of responsibility by refining their individual skills and collaborating effectively with their teammates during training, friendly matches and National School Games.

  3. Develop tactical awareness and game intelligence by learning strategies, making informed decisions under pressure and adapting to different game situations.

  4. Build resilience, discipline and resilience through regular practice, goal-setting and performance feedback.

  5. Demonstrate respect and sportsmanship by competing respectfully in all games.

Highlights and Opportunities

  1. Participate in friendly matches with other schools.

  2. Participate in National School Games (NSG).

  3. Participate in sports camps with cluster schools.

  4. Exchange program with selected secondary schools.

  5. Application for Direct School Admission (DSA).
