Learning for Life Programme (LLP)
Discover how De La Salle School's Learning for Life Programme nurtures students as mindful servant leaders over six years, building leadership skills rooted in faith, service, and community.
As part of the Lasallian for Life Experience, De La Salle School nurtures every child to become a confident, compassionate and values-driven individual. The "I'm a Mindful Servant Leader" Programme develops Lasallians who lead with faith, serve with empathy and make a positive difference in their communities.
As they grow from leading self to leading others and the community, Lasallians build meaningful relationships, find their voice and take ownership of their actions. Guided by our belief to "Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve", we want every Lasallian to leave school with the knowledge, skills and generous heart to contribute meaningfully as a person for others.
A Progressive Leadership Journey
Every Lasallian embarks on a progressively structured leadership journey, guided by the school’s Mindful Servant Leadership Framework, that grows with him as he matures. Each stage builds on the previous one, developing the values, skills and confidence to lead with purpose and serve with heart.
Faithful Leaders
Lasallians begin by developing self-awareness, self-discipline and a strong moral compass - qualities that form the foundation for responsible decision-making and good leadership.
Servant Leaders
Building on this foundation, Lasallians learn to understand and care for others, collaborate with their peers and serve with empathy.
Community Leaders
Lasallians are encouraged to look beyond themselves - advocating for their community, inspiring those around them and taking meaningful action to make a positive difference.
Leadership in Practice
We believe that every child has the capacity to lead and serve. We want every Lasallian to experience school as a home away from home - a place where he is known, valued and cared for.
Through the Caring Leaders in Practice (CLIP) Programme, Lasallians take on meaningful class responsibilities and carry out everyday acts of service. They learn to look out for one another and contribute to a warm and inclusive classroom community. In doing so, they discover that leadership is not limited to formal appointments but demonstrated through responsibility, initiative and care for others.
Every Lasallian also contributes to the broader community through Values-in-Action projects. Working alongside their classmates and CCAs, they serve the school, neighbourhood and wider community. Some Lasallians extend their learning through Passion Projects, where they conceptualise and implement their own initiatives to address real needs and create meaningful change.
Lasallians who demonstrate strong leadership qualities and a heart to serve may be provided with opportunities to take on formal leadership roles as Lasallian Leaders, CCA Leaders and Class Leaders. Through these roles, they serve others and the wider community, contribute actively to school life, and continue to grow as leaders of greater influence.
